What’s New at Pinnacle

We’ve been busy this year! We’re pumped to give you the rundown on everything we’ve added or changed in the last 12 months. Our goal has always been and will always be to offer our members as much as we can to improve your fitness journey, keep it new and exciting, and inspire you.

New Management
In case you missed it, Jeri Engen took over leadership of the gym in November. Jeri Engen got her start at Pinnacle before it was even Pinnacle! While she was attending UNO, she took a class at the club when it was still a private fitness center. She loved it so much that she switched her major and was the first and only member of UNO’s Exercise Science graduating class.

Jeri taught group exercise and worked in the health and wellness community, helping start Lakeside Wellness in west Omaha while raising her two kids. After Lakeside, Jeri left Omaha and the health world and entered the marketing and advertising scene. If you see Jeri around the club, be sure to say hi!

Running Club
The club started late last year and they have covered hundreds of miles around town! The Running Club is for runners of all levels. We will run outside unless the weather is extreme. The Wednesday run will be shorter and speed focused (if desired), and the Sunday run will be longer and endurance focused. Walk/Runners are also welcome to join the club. If you get tired, you just hop on one of the city’s new electric scooters!

New Classes
We always want to keep the classes fresh and up to date. No one looks forward to a stale workout, right? We’ve recently added three new classes to our already extensive lineup of Group X classes.

Smooth Moves
A beginner level class set to smooth jazz for a full body workout; light cardio, strength, and flexibility all rolled into one and set to smooth, steady music.

Pound
Drumsticks have never been so exciting as when using them during POUND class. Originating from LA, this class ties in body weight strength, core and cardio movements designed to get the heart pumpin’ and beats jumpin’!

Plyo-Agility
Warm-up with speed and agility drills then build muscular power with a variety of upper and lower body plyometrics exercises. Great for people who play recreational sports!

Triathlon Training
PFC has joined forces with Greenstreet Cycles and Sports Engineering Group to co-host two different one-of-a-kind triathlon training events.

Intermediate to Advanced Triathlon Intensive Clinic | June 1
This session is designed for an experienced triathlete of all skill levels. Athletes receive individual technique coaching, training education, functional assessments, core and movement exercises, and workout rehearsals.

New to Sport, Beginner Triathlon Learning Clinic | June 8 & 9
This clinic is designed for a triathlon beginner, new to the sport or recreational athletes of all skill levels. Technique coaching, functional movement assessments, and more will be covered over 1.5 days.

Rooftop Classes Coming Soon!
Coming very soon, we’ll be taking some of our popular classes to the rooftops in downtown Omaha where you can enjoy new sights, sounds, and scenery from a higher perspective. We will be raising the roof with fitness classes atop The Atlas, The Wire, and The Breakers. Dates, times, and class locations will be posted at the club and shared on social media, so stay tuned. We hope members will rise to this new fitness challenge!
