26 Jul Summertime Fitness Around Omaha
We don’t get long, here in the Midwest. We have a few precious months to soak up the sun and enjoy the warm weather. Get the most out of your summer in Omaha with these local group fitness events.
Wednesday Night Workouts at Midtown
Get your sweat on with this rotating fitness class in the park. They offer something for everyone like Zumba, Boot Camp, Turbo Kick, Mixxed Fit, Pound, Les Mills, and PiYo. With all of those options you’re bound to find something you like. This free and public event takes place every Wednesday from 6-7.
Philanthropic Walks/Runs at Stinson Park
Double down on your workout by adding an element of philanthropy! There are a ton of run/walks for a cause coming to town this year and Stinson Park is hosting quite a few of them. Get involved in your community, have a blast, and get in a good workout with friends. More on philanthrofit in our blog.
Taco Ride Thursdays on the Wabash
Every Thursday, cyclists from all around Omaha and the surrounding areas get together after work for the most fun 20 mile bike ride you’ll ever experience. The trail is beautiful, the margaritas are flowing, and the tacos are…well by the time you get there, they’re great!
The Owl Ride at Lewis and Clark Landing
Another fantastic philanthrofit Omaha opportunity is the Owl Ride. August 4th at 9pm, folks from all around will be gathering in downtown Omaha to help benefit those with disabilities. Riders can choose between a slower, family-friendly ride of 7.5 miles and a longer, more competitive ride through the city for 17 miles.
Kayaking and Stand Up Paddleboarding at Lake Cunningham
The Neighborhood Offshore Outfitter at Lake Cunningham has paddleboard, kayak, and even sailboat rentals. You can take a SUP yoga class, learn to sail, or float around the lake on your own. It’s also a great place to bring the pooch! More workouts for you and your dog here on the blog.
Free Friend Fridays at Pinnacle Fitness Club
Kick the weekend off right with one of your besties at Pinnacle. Every Friday you can bring a friend along with you for free. Take a class together, or hit the gym floor on your own…together!
